Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and development across SPD, UPS, and power electronics. You will mentor junior engineers and drive design standards from concept through manufacturing launch.

Responsibilities include system-level decisions, certification planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance with UL/IEEE/IEC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in electrical product engineering or a Master's degree with 3+ years in electrical design.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical aspects of Surge Protection Devices per engineering specs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure standards and integration with manufacturing.
• Drive SOPs and repository structures; support DFMEA/DFSS and DFM.
• Lead product certification planning, validation, and testing with NRTL bodies.
• Drive cost reduction through design improvements and VAVE processes.
• Maintain expertise in UL, IEEE, IEC, CSA, and DOE standards.
• Lead technical reviews, mentor junior engineers, ensure quality compliance.
• Drive system-level design decisions for performance, reliability, and cost.
