Job description

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of deliverables and documents, including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Apply electrical distribution, lighting, and power system design principles.
  • Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Provide engineering direction and guidance for the project team.
  • Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction.
  • Oversee electrical load calculations.
  • Complete the project within the agreed budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Update master specifications and contribute to standard development.
  • Apply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection.
  • Provide estimates of probable construction costs.
  • Conduct site visits and issue reports.
  • Perform distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power.
  • Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Relevant professional credential (e.g., PE) preferred.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an electrical engineer or 3–5 years of related work experience.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project phases and associated deliverables.
  • Ability to assemble and manage a team.
  • Strong delegation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and application of the NEC and relevant building and energy codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Revit or AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Easy Power.
