Position Summary:

Electrical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop, optimize, and problem solve manufacturing and converting processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Un-creped Through Air Dried Technology (UCTAD) Tissue Manufacturing Asset team in Loudon, TN. This team supports daily tissue machine operation, improves reliability, and executes capital projects to improve the Safety, Quality, OEE, & Cost of the tissue manufacturing department. The individual will report to the Sr. Asset Leader. It starts with YOU.

In this role, you will:

  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies, and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
  • Support daily tissue manufacturing asset performance to achieve Safety, Quality, OEE, & Cost objectives.
  • Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of UCTAD tissue manufacturing equipment to meet unit objectives.
  • Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization.
  • Identify and problem solve complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause, including leading group Problem Solving sessions.
  • Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, problem solving, and project management.
  • Coach and mentor team members within the facility in areas of expertise including technical training, problem solving, and knowledge transfer.
  • This role will own and manage the electrical and controls side of one of our UCTAD tissue machines. They will have the ability and expertise to support our operations and maintenance teams in upkeep and optimization of critical equipment. They will also be able to provide long term improvements to the asset from idea conception all the way through execution.
