The Electrical Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for driving technical design quality in Electrical Engineering. The SME works closely with engineers during the design process, ensuring design accuracy and compliance with scope, customer specifications, and standard practices. They serve as the main communication link with R&D on technical topics and are experts in Material Handling Applications and the Intelligrated product portfolio. The SME also leads technical escalation resolution on project sites by utilizing escalation and troubleshooting playbooks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Design Quality

• Enforce technical design standards within Electrical Engineering.
• Drive quality in technical designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers during design iterations, providing guidance.
• Coordinate with other SMEs to ensure quality handovers.

Design Reviews

• Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
• Ensure design accuracy and address discrepancies.
• Hold sign-off authority for design approval.

Collaboration with R&D

• Act as primary communication driver with R&D on technical topics.
• Facilitate inclusion of new/modified products in configuration tools.
• Align project engineering with R&D practices.

Technical Expertise

• Serve as a technical expert in Material Handling Applications and the product portfolio.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.

Technical Escalation Resolution

• Lead resolution of critical technical issues on project sites.
• Provide effective solutions to minimize disruptions.

Mentorship and Development

• Mentor and develop engineers, sharing expertise.
• Promote continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Engineering Standards and Processes

• Drive development and maintenance of engineering processes.
