Harper Fox Partners, a leading employee-owned MEP design and consulting firm, is seeking a Senior / Electrical Team Lead in Kansas City. You will lead and support a team of Electrical Designers, remain hands-on in project delivery, and coordinate across the Electrical function.
The role is roughly 40% people management and 60% project work. We value collaborative leadership, mentoring, and the ability to adapt across diverse retail, restaurant, commercial, and multifamily projects.
We’re partnered with a leading, 100% employee-owned full-service MEP design and consulting firm, known for their innovative approach and dynamic projects across retail, restaurant, entertainment, commercial, and multifamily sectors. With a collaborative culture and strong focus on technical excellence, this is a place where engineering leaders can truly make an impact and support the continued development of a talented electrical team.
They’re now looking to hire a Senior / Electrical Team Lead to lead and support a team of Electrical Designers, remain actively involved in project delivery, and work collaboratively across the wider Electrical function.
As Senior / Electrical Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for approximately six Electrical Designers across varying levels of experience, providing day-to-day leadership, technical guidance, mentoring, and support.
The position is approximately 40% people/team management and 60% project-focused, so you’ll remain actively involved in project delivery while maintaining visibility across your team’s workload, priorities, and performance.
The wider Electrical team operates across three segments, so agility and adaptability will be important. You’ll work collaboratively across the function, stepping in to support different areas of the team as requirements and project demands evolve.
This is a leadership role for someone who gives their team autonomy without micromanaging, but remains engaged, asks the right questions, and is willing to dig deeper when support is needed.
Competitive salary with flexibility depending on experience
Employee ownership plan (ESOP)
Generous PTO and paid holidays
Hybrid working arrangements
Professional development opportunities and certification support
Inclusive, collaborative company culture with regular social events
Ready to take the next step in your electrical engineering career, lead and develop a talented team, and remain hands-on with exciting MEP projects? We’d love to hear from you.
