Job summary

Renewyx is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for our Troy, Michigan area office in a hybrid role. You will own the electrical scope from design criteria through construction and start-up, working with a team of engineers, designers and project managers.

You will lead the design of power systems, AC drives, lighting and protection, performing calculations to NEC/NFPA standards and supporting on-site commissioning. A BS in EE and a PE license are required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Sound working knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes.
• A PE license.
• Proficiency in Revit, SKM Power Tools and lighting calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of power systems, AC drives, lighting and lighting control, and protection for industrial facilities.
• Perform engineering calculations behind power and control systems, in Revit and SKM Power Tools, to NEC and NFPA.
• Plan equipment installation and start-up and support commissioning on site.

Electrical Engineer | Greater Detroit Area (Troy, MI)| Hybrid | $112,000 - $125,000 + Benefits

Renewyx has partnered with an established engineering, integration and construction firm to appoint a Lead Electrical Engineer, based at their Troy, Michigan area office.

The firm designs, integrates and builds technically complex R&D, test and production facilities and equipment. This role owns the electrical scope from design criteria through construction and start-up, working alongside a collaborative team of engineers, designers and project managers.

Lead the design of power systems, AC drives, lighting and lighting control, and protection for industrial facilities, performing the engineering calculations behind power and control systems, in Revit and SKM Power Tools, to NEC and NFPA. You will also plan equipment installation and start-up and support commissioning on site.

• Industrial electrical systems design at a consulting engineering firm or a design/build electrical contractor
• A BS in Electrical Engineering
• Sound working knowledge of the NEC and NFPA codes
• A PE license
• Proficiency in Revit, SKM Power Tools and lighting calculation software
• Experience with medium voltage systems, power regeneration or facility energy reduction
• Full-time role, hybrid working (Troy, MI area)
