Job summary

MEA Energy in San Jose is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on large commercial projects from concept through construction documents. The role focuses on power distribution, lighting, controls, and building infrastructure for data centers and labs.

You will coordinate across disciplines, support field teams with RFIs, and ensure Title 24 and NEC compliance. 5+ years of building electrical design experience and proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD are required.

Qualifications

5+ years of building electrical design experience at an MEP firm or design-build contractor
Proficient in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
Ability to lead design on large-scale projects
Working knowledge of NEC and Title 24 preferred
Degree in electrical or architectural engineering or equivalent design experience
PE license a strong plus

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design on large commercial projects from concept through construction documents
Design and calculate power distribution, lighting, controls, and building infrastructure
Prepare Title 24 compliance documentation
Coordinate across engineering disciplines and with construction operations
Support the field team with RFIs and construction-phase questions
