Job summary

BN Associates Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Lead in Houston, TX.

You will own the conceptualization, design, development and detailing of electrical enclosures and cable harnesses for heavy industrial applications. The role requires 5–8 years of hands-on electrical design, with at least 2 years in a technical lead capacity, and familiarity with NPI, design change management, PLM, and international standards such as UL/NEC, IEC, and NEMA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5–8 years of hands-on electrical design experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead role.
• NPI projects knowledge for E-houses, modular buildings, plant rooms, or heavy industrial enclosures.
• Familiarity with UL/NEC, IEC, and NEMA standards is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design, development and detailing of electrical enclosures.
• Drive NPI, design change management and PLM processes.
• Design electrical cabinets and cable harnesses independently.
• Select components, prepare BoM, terminal strips, wire charts and cable schedules.

Job description

• Lead the conceptualization, design, development & detailing.
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Design change Management and PLM.
• In depth knowledge on Electrical Cabinets & Cable harness design.
• Capability to design the cabinets & harnesses independently. Understanding on the SLD’s & schematics
• Must be able to work on Selection of components, BoM preparation, Terminal Strips, Wire Chart / Cable Schedule, etc independently.
• Knowledge about HVAC system & Grounding of the panel / components
• Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) and First Pass with high-Quality Adherence.
• Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, cross-functional communication, and project scheduling capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to understand customer pain points, analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

What You Will Bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on Electrical design experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or supervisory capacity.
• NPI projects knowledge specifically for E-houses, modular buildings, plant rooms, or heavy industrial enclosures.
• Familiarity with international standards for industrial enclosures and electrical safety (e.g. UL/NEC, IEC, NEMA classifications) is added advantage.
• Software: Advanced, expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
