Job summary

Clorox is seeking an Electrical & Controls Principal Engineer (Operational Technology) to lead high-complexity automation and infrastructure projects across multiple manufacturing sites. You will report to the Senior Manager, OT & EIC Engineering and serve as a technical leader delivering from concept through startup.

You will guide electrical design, control systems architecture and system integration, while ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems experience
• Experience managing capital and expense budgets, forecasting and cost control
• Advanced knowledge of Rockwell Automation hardware and software
• Experience applying NEC, ANSI, IEC, NEMA, NFPA standards
• Familiarity with ISA-S88 and PackML standards
• Experience with manufacturing data systems (SCADA, MES, Historian, SQL) and reading P&IDs/electrical schematics

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical & controls engineering activities across all phases of capital projects, including concept, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and startup
• Develop functional requirements, technical specs, schedules and deliverables to support project execution
• Manage scope, budget, timelines and resources to meet business objectives while maintaining engineering excellence
• Provide expert leadership in electrical design, control systems, automation platforms and system integration
• Support startup activities: configuration, wiring verification, calibration, power testing and troubleshooting
• Lead evaluation and implementation of new technologies to enhance manufacturing capability, efficiency and reliability
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to drive successful project outcomes
• Lead external partners (engineering firms, system integrators, suppliers) and ensure compliance with safety standards
