Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Controls Engineer to architect and deliver connected control systems for industrial power monitoring.

You will own projects from concept through commissioning, guiding platform selection, system architecture, and cross-functional execution. Ideal candidates have senior-level PLC/HMI/SCADA experience, robust networking knowledge, and a track record managing budgets, schedules, and risk across multi-site programs.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience in industrial control systems
• 3+ years in industry
• Expert-level PLC/HMI/SCADA experience with listed platforms
• Strong networking knowledge for industrial environments
• Experience with risk, schedule and cost management

Responsibilities

• Own complete customer, program, and project delivery for connected services applications from $50K to $20M
• Select platforms and technologies, define system architecture, and drive technical reviews
• Provide leadership for project execution across technical, financial, and commercial aspects
• Act as primary customer interface on major projects, owning technical, schedule, and cost baselines
• Lead or support negotiations on proposals, estimates, quotations, change orders
• Coordinate engineering, field personnel, and third-party suppliers for electrical power delivery, equipment, and modular systems
• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service to deliver solutions and profitability
• Support hiring, development, and retention of a top-tier team of control system engineers and specialists
• Provide indirect leadership for project teams of 5–10 reports
• Identify execution risks early and implement mitigation strategies
• Manage budgets, expenses, and purchasing decisions tied to project success
• Present project activity and financial updates to customers and internal stakeholders
