Job summary

Jabil in the United States is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead field deployments, coordinate testing, and ensure conformity with project specifications. This role requires guiding Level 2–4 commissioning activities and providing hands-on debugging across complex systems.

You will train and mentor staff, review commissioning scripts, document results, and maintain clear client communication while coordinating with project managers, quality leaders, and internal teams to meet milestones

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
• NFPA 70E certification preferred.
• 3–5 years' experience reading electrical schematics and with power metering equipment.
• Experience leading commissioning teams in field deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Lead field commissioning activities and act as project manager and SME for commissioning.
• Provide hands-on debugging support for equipment or system failures.
• Train and mentor team members on test procedures and scripts.
• Review and approve project-specific commissioning scripts (Levels 2–4).
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with design, specs, and standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, quality leads, and client reps to align milestones.
• Document commissioning results and drive issue resolution.
• Submit scripts and documentation 10 weeks before key milestones (e.g., H2C).
• Balance hands-on field work with project oversight and stakeholder communication.
