Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing is seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee electrical systems commissioning across projects, leading a team of commissioning engineers and technicians and coordinating with project stakeholders to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering, 10+ years in electrical commissioning with 3+ years in a supervisory role, and NICET/CCP certifications are preferred. Travel to project sites and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical commissioning, with at least 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• NICET or CCP certifications are highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, testing procedures, and commissioning practices.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and client-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work in various environments.
• Possess a valid/active U.S. Work Authorization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning phase of electrical projects from planning through execution and closeout, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Manage and mentor a team of commissioning engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, contractors, and clients to define scope and develop commissioning plans.
• Oversee testing and validation of electrical systems (transformers, switchgear, relays, control systems) against design specs and client requirements.
• Ensure commissioning documentation (test procedures, reports, punch lists) is accurate and submitted timely.
• Implement quality assurance processes to meet high standards and address non-conformities.
• Promote health and safety compliance across the commissioning process.
• Serve as primary client contact during commissioning and address concerns promptly.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
