Job summary

Pieper Automation is seeking a Senior Engineer, Automation Design to lead the development of automated control systems. This role involves specifying parts, creating schematics and panel layouts, and assembling installation packages for projects.

You will collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure quality, compliance with standards, and successful project delivery. The candidate should have a strong engineering background, hands-on problem solving, and mentorship abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide design engineering for projects, collaborating with the Pieper team and customers.
• Follow best practices and the Pieper Automation Way to ensure quality design and project documentation.
• Demonstrate a pattern of success on projects with positive customer feedback and potential for additional work.
• Track and manage project cost/performance with project managers to meet schedules and budgets.
• Assist with reviewing project scopes and generating technical estimates.
• Provide design engineering support for installation packages and related documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems within areas of expertise.
• Support time and cost management processes including forecasting and time entry.
