Job summary

Serac Inc. in Carol Stream, IL, is seeking an Electrical Assembly Supervisor to lead the electrical assembly floor for filling and capping machinery.

You will supervise a crew of 5+ assemblers, build and wire control panels, schedule work, ensure on-time delivery, and uphold quality. You will troubleshoot daily issues and drive Lean, 5S, and Kaizen improvements.

This on-site role requires hands-on electrical experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years building electrical control panels.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
• HS diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Comfort with hand/power tools, fabrication equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Valid driver's license.
• Allen-Bradley or other electrical controls experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5+ electro-mechanical assemblers building and wiring control panels, cabinets, and full machines.
• Build the electrical assembly schedule around line balance and keep production tracking up to date.
• Own quality, completeness, and on-time delivery for assembly areas.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day electrical issues and collaborate with controls engineer on red-lines.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Hire, train, coach, and review the team.
