Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Lead Electric Propulsion Engineer to provide technical leadership within the Propulsion Design Engineering team. You will guide propulsion system design, testing, and in-flight operations for the Amazon Leo satellite propulsion system.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of propellant storage, thruster design, avionics requirements, and thermal management, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams across development and production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with electric propulsion through design or test.
• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional tests.
• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Influence full propulsion system design, development and production.
• Lead or support test execution for development, validation and risk assessments.
• Define test plans, requirements and in-flight procedures for propulsion systems.
• Advise on propulsion design, test, and systems engineering artifacts.
