Job summary

SANY Group in Atlanta is seeking a drivetrain design engineer to lead the electric drivetrain architecture for large loaders, coordinating reducers, transfer cases and wheel-side systems.

You will oversee prototype commissioning and mine-site tests, troubleshoot noises and torque issues, verify vibration and interference, and drive improvements to efficiency, reliability and durability through industry benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drivetrain scheme design and architecture matching for electric drivetrain systems on large loaders.
• Layout drivetrain components, interface definitions, and support structure; verify vibration, limit position, coaxiality and spatial interference.
• Define control boundaries and protection logic parameters; collaborate with electronic control and strategy teams to ensure power output matching and load protection.
• Follow up prototype commissioning and mine-site tests; troubleshoot faults such as abnormal drivetrain noise, shuddering, insufficient power, overheating and abnormal torque; deliver optimization with full issue closure.
• Establish design specifications and verification standards; benchmark against international products; continuously improve efficiency, reliability and durability of drivetrain systems.
