Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior transmission design engineer to lead the design of lines from 69kV to 765kV for diverse projects. The role requires 12 years of transmission experience, including 3+ years in 500kV/765kV, and proficiency with PLS-CADD. Spanish bilingualism is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree from ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 12 years of transmission design experience.
• 3+ years of experience in 500kV and/or 765kV transmission line design.
• Familiarity with 765kV electrical considerations.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD software.
• Experience working with clients on transmission lines from 69kV through 765kV.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, speak, and write).

Responsabilités

• Lead the design of transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Serve as a subject matter specialist in 500kV and 765kV lines.
• Mentor and train less experienced design team members.
• Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with specifications and client requirements.
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly.
• Perform independent reviews of others' work including calculations and models in PLS-CADD.
• Adhere to Sargent & Lundy’s System of Processes.
