Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced leader to manage and direct engineering teams in the execution of EHV transmission line projects (500kV/765kV). The role involves coordinating across departments, mentoring staff, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery for utilities, COOPs, and developers.

The position supports a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days, plus a potential relocation package depending on location.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent.
• 10+ years in project management of utility transmission projects.
• 5+ years in 500kV/765kV transmission line design.
• Experience with NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, ANSI standards.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong client liaison and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites/meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise engineering project teams for EHV transmission line designs.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with client leads and stakeholders across departments.
• Prepare reports and present project information clearly.
• Mentor team members and drive technical deliverables.
