Job summary

NR Consulting is seeking a Lead EHS Specialist to support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives across manufacturing and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate has strong OSHA/regulatory knowledge and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years of EHS/Safety experience, a Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field, and proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of EHS/Safety experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong OSHA and regulatory compliance knowledge.
  • Experience with hydrogen, flammable chemicals, or process safety highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, training, and project-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor EHS programs and OSHA compliance.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Lead employee safety training and new-hire orientation.
  • Support incident investigations, JSAs, PPE assessments, and safety reporting.
  • Manage chemical inventories, SDS/GHS compliance, and laboratory safety.
  • Coordinate forklift/crane safety training and certifications.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to drive safety improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations and standards.
