Yellow Brick Road in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Lead Educator to create a nurturing, positive learning environment where children thrive. You will plan play-based, age-appropriate activities and coordinate with families and staff to support each student’s growth.

You will observe progress, document development, manage classroom behavior with positive guidance, and engage parents daily with updates on their child’s learning journey.

Qualifikationen

• Must meet DHS qualifications for Lead Educator in a licensed child care center.
• Experience with young students in licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and state licensing requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, online lesson planning, and daily reporting.

• Curriculum Planning and Implementation: Implement play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with early learning standards.
• Child Development Observation and Assessment: Observe and assess development and tailor instruction.
• Classroom Management: Establish a positive classroom culture and manage behavior with positive reinforcement.
• Parent and Family Communication: Provide daily updates via the Parent Communication app and collaborate with families.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing development and share best practices with colleagues.
