Queue builds robots to fill prescriptions. This role leads the edge software stack end to end, from design and code to release and field behavior.

You will ensure that the machine stops safely and explains why when a step cannot be confirmed, guiding a squad across firmware, vision, platform and image boundaries. As a hands-on staff engineer, you will own the edge software architecture, review cycles, and release processes, while coaching engineers to grow into technical leadership roles.

Competenze

• Ownership — written production C, C++ or Rust on Linux and owned a device's software end to end, from design to fault found in the field.
• Hardware integration over buses — CAN, RS-485 and other serial links, USB.
• Real-time orchestration and state machines — sequencing of motion, sensing and I/O with partial failure; design failure path first.
• MCU boundary literacy — understanding microcontrollers and device protocols such as protobuf, CAN or registers.
• Embedded Linux integration — substantial work getting software running on embedded Linux: services, devices, startup and updates.
• Connected device fleets — updates, remote diagnostics, telemetry and recovery of remote units.
• Hardened device platforms — software on devices with verified startup and signed updates.
• Technical leadership — improving a team's engineering through design/review/mentoring without a title.

Mansioni

• Own the edge software design and code paths from boards to state machines and release.
• Define and version contracts with microcontrollers, vision service, and ensure compatibility across releases.
• Oversee releases and field behavior, including diagnostics and remote updates.
• Manage seams between edge software, firmware, vision, cloud and image; drive cross-squad fixes.
• Set review standards and coach engineers to grow into leaders while delivering on commitments.
• Document decisions with options and rationale for future teams to follow.
• Lead the squad in delivering fault-avoidance design-first approaches.
