Job summary

Prince Contracting is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead construction efforts on an Advanced Technology data center project in Augusta, GA. You will plan methods, coordinate crews and equipment, and manage subcontractors to meet schedule and budget while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with field engineers, vendors and utility partners to identify hazards, interpret contract drawings, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
• 5+ years in construction management.
• Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• STS certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and enforcement ability.
• Knowledge of local union or prevailing wage rules.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract plans/specifications.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs and work schedule for assigned project work; review daily schedules with direct reports and update weekly schedule.
• Review project specifications; coordinate with field crews, engineers and utilities to identify hazards on site.
• Coordinate with internal equipment team and external vendors to ensure equipment and material quantities meet budget and schedule.
• Forecast the work schedule to identify issues and provide scheduling recommendations to mitigate production problems.
• Provide technical input to identify and resolve project risks including methods, work plans, material requirements, safety and schedule activities; document daily activities and meeting notes.
• Promote safety and process controls; identify training needs on site and ensure compliance.
• Supervise sub-contractor production and workforce; adjust schedules or methods as needed.
