Tom Trese Networking LLC in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Earthwork Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy highway and civil infrastructure projects in the Southwest Florida market. This is a hands-on, field leadership role focused on production, safety, scheduling, and daily field execution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of heavy highway experience, strong earthwork, drainage and plan-reading skills, and a proven ability to lead crews, coordinate with project teams, and keep work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy highway construction experience.
• Strong understanding of earthwork, grading, slope, drainage, and plan reading.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret project specifications.
• Strong scheduling, planning, and field coordination skills.
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage day-to-day production.
• Strong communication and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work with project managers, crews, subcontractors, and field leadership.
• Clean Florida or Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews and coordinate day-to-day earthwork activities.
• Drive safe work practices and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Translate project plans and schedules into daily work plans for crews.
• Monitor production and identify schedule issues early.
• Coordinate with other crews, subcontractors, and project leadership.
• Review workforce needs, crew capability, and task assignments.
• Help resolve field issues and production challenges.
• Review plans, grades, slopes, drainage requirements and project specs.
• Approve material needs and support field requisitions.
• Maintain field reporting and employee time reporting.
