Markent Personnel is seeking an Earthwork Superintendent for our heavy highway projects in Sarasota, FL. This is a field leadership role requiring hands-on management of earthwork production, schedules, and crews to keep work moving on civil infrastructure sites.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of heavy highway experience, strong earthwork knowledge, and proven ability to read plans, coordinate with project teams, and resolve field issues. A valid FL/GA driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy highway construction experience.
• Strong understanding of earthwork, grading, slope, drainage, and plan reading.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret project specifications.
• Strong scheduling, planning, and field coordination skills.
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage day-to-day production.
• Strong communication and problem-solving ability.

Responsabilités

• Lead field crews and coordinate day-to-day earthwork activities.
• Drive safe work practices and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Translate project plans and schedules into daily work plans for crews.
• Monitor production, identify schedule issues, and communicate conflicts early.
• Coordinate with other crews, subcontractors, and project leadership.
• Review workforce needs and task assignments; resolve field issues.
