Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies in Illinois is seeking a Teacher to lead, coach, and mentor teammates, implement our curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. You’ll partner with families to support every child’s development and work with center staff to achieve enrollment and accreditation goals.

Ideal candidates have a CDA or NAEYC candidacy, 2–3 years of ECE experience, a bachelor's in ECE, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service, strong organization, and multitasking.
• Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy required.
• Approved state trainer preferred.
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically able to lift 40 pounds; indoors or outdoors.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
