Job summary

AbleLight in Coon Rapids, MN is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist residents with daily living activities, accompany them on errands, and support participation in community events.

The role requires 1 year of DSP experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Training in CPR/First Aid is encouraged; background checks are required. Competitive benefits apply for 30+ hour schedules.

Schedule Available: Monday - Thursday 7a-3p & Every other Sat & Sun 8a-4p

Location Hiring: Coon Rapids, MN

Direct Support Professionals empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live their most independent lives possible by:

• Attending special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events
• Assisting our individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess an active driver’s license that is in good standing with a good driving record.
• Willing and able to pass a background check.
• Willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course (if you have this already, even better).
• Embody patience, kindness, and possess a servant’s heart and hands.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
• 1 year DSP experience
