Dominion Care Richmond Waiver Day Support Program is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional to guide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities toward greater independence through person-centered day activities. You will supervise DSPs, ensure safety, and coordinate activities with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Ability to engage with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to help individuals become more independent and meet their goals.
• Maintain professional boundaries with individuals and families/support systems.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care.
• Coordinate activity schedules and planning with staff and individuals.
• Monitor health and medication management as needed.
• Lead safety drills and ensure first aid supplies are available.
• Train and mentor new DSPs to ensure consistent support.
• Attend ISP/SIS meetings and provide input on services.
• Maintain time records and document progress monthly.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and uploaded to profiles.
