Job summary

Dominion Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving independence and meaningful community involvement. You will support daily living activities, health monitoring, and social engagement to help clients reach personal goals.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Reliable transportation with valid car insurance.
• Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to live more independently and meet personal goals.
• Provide ADL support, light household tasks, budgeting, and community involvement.
• Maintain professional boundaries with individuals and their support networks.
• Assist with transportation, shopping, meals, and daily activities.
• Monitor health and assist with medication management when needed.
• Provide behavioral support and help develop adaptive skills.
• Document progress and maintain timely records of services delivered.
• Ensure safety and supervise activities to protect well‑being of individuals.
