Job summary

Meridian Services Incorporated in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional for a Residential Crisis Program. The role includes direct care, administrative duties, and cross-training across multiple programs.

Schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off, with on-call coverage from 6AM–10PM; on-site primary program with training at other sites. The Lead DSP supports individuals with IDD/mental health, handles medical appointments, staff training, and emergency issues while promoting

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older per licensing requirements.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Comfortable providing personal cares as needed.
• Successful clearance of Department of Human Services background check.
• Vehicle to use for work with current car insurance.
• Have an acceptable driving record as per Meridian policy.
• Wi-Fi-enabled device for work related purposes.
• 2+ years experience with interfering behaviors and aggression.

Responsibilities

• Work on tailored outcomes with each person in the home (budgeting, behavior, meal planning, life skills).
• Assist with paperwork and attending doctor appointments.
• Be active with individuals served in community and home settings.
• Assist with personal cares as needed per person served.
• Provide guidance and instruction to build life skills.
• Provide cleaning, cooking, and medication administration.
• Supervise and transport in the community; may use a company vehicle or personal car.
