Job summary

Synova Group is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for an Adult Crisis Group Home in Minnesota. You will support individuals with developmental and mental health needs in home and community settings, focusing on stabilization and independent living skills.

The role involves crisis responsiveness, documentation, transportation, and adherence to care plans. Training is provided; the environment emphasizes safety, empathy, and person-centered planning.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Have experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and maintain a clean driving record.
• Have access to an insured vehicle.
• Successfully pass a DHS background study.
• Have basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships and support individuals in developing friendships and community connections.
• Assist with daily routines such as cooking, household tasks, personal care, hygiene, and leisure activities.
• Support health and safety needs, money management, and behavior support strategies.
• Administer medications according to training and company procedures.
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings.
• Document services, activities, and important events using an online documentation system.
• Encourage independence while providing the level of support each individual needs.
