Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer for the Drones team to ensure rigorous testing of Bolt, Anvil, and Ghost drones and meet throughput requirements. You will drive automation, test interfaces, data analytics, and continuous improvement across production testing.

Responsibilities include owning production test flow, developing fault libraries, performing RCCA, and collaborating with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to optimize test coverage and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields required.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
• Experience with contract manufacturers in testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies and knowledge of PCBA testing standards.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition and measurement sensors.
• Strong root cause analysis skills of non-conforming hardware.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with PLM, MES, and TES systems.
• Experience integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own test activities in production and ensure production test flow; troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system level to component level checks.
• Improve and sustain test systems to enhance automation, consistency, and test coverage.
• Generate test work instructions for technicians and train them on equipment use.
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
• Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to support returns and failure analysis.
• Provide feedback to early-stage test design for NPI support.
• Analyze test data and produce detailed reports; identify defects and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with design engineers on product enhancements based on test outcomes.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency; reduce test time without sacrificing quality.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Execute testing as required.
