Job summary

Mott MacDonald seeks a Principal Engineer with deep experience in drinking water quality and treatment process evaluation to lead design and optimization efforts for water infrastructure. You will guide facility performance, coordinate multi-project delivery, and advise on regulatory compliance.

The role requires PE in the US with NJ/NY/PA reciprocity eligibility, strong leadership, and a track record of water utility project success. Hybrid in-office collaboration supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; master's preferred.
• 15+ years of drinking water quality and treatment process experience.
• PE license in NJ/NY/PA or eligibility for reciprocal licensing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for drinking water treatment and distribution projects.
• Lead the preparation of deliverables for treatment facilities and distribution system evaluations.
• Manage multiple projects within a multidisciplinary design approach.
• Provide expert interpretation of water quality data and resolve complex queries.
• Lead, mentor, and support junior staff development.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
