Job summary

Mid-States Concrete Industries is seeking a Design & Detail Manager to lead the drafting team and ensure accurate, manufacturable precast drawings.

You will coordinate workloads, develop BIM standards, and work with Engineering, Project Management, and Production to deliver quality results on time. This role offers growth opportunities within a growing company. You will mentor staff and implement process improvements while maintaining Revit templates and standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in drafting, detailing, or design for precast products.
• Experience with precast shop drawings and erection drawings.
• Experience with reinforcing and embed detailing; precast connections.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; BIM workflows.
• Ability to read architectural/structural drawings; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the design and detailing team.
• Coordinate workloads based on project priorities and deadlines.
• Review drawings/models for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Serve as BIM lead for Revit; maintain standards and templates.
• Develop and implement BIM workflows and templates.
• Identify process improvements to reduce rework and improve turnaround times.
