Job summary

LAUKOA in Charleston, SC is seeking a Housekeeper Lead to supervise routine cleaning and sanitation in FLETC dormitories, ensuring rooms and common areas meet cleanliness and hygiene standards. The role supports a welcoming and safe environment for students and staff through consistent housekeeping services.

As lead, you will inspect rooms after completion, ensure compliance with PWS requirements, and manage a team to clean up to 20+ rooms per day, with schedule 07:30–16:30.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of housekeeping or custodial experience in a dormitory, hotel, or institutional setting.
• Familiarity with cleaning products and safe handling procedures.
• Must pass background screening and meet all DHS/FLETC access and conduct requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms for incoming students and clean rooms after departure of students.
• Clean and disinfect dormitory rooms, restrooms, and shared areas.
• Change bed linens, restock toiletries, and empty trash bins.
• Inspect rooms for compliance with PWS requirements and pass/fail responsibility as lead.
• Maintain supply carts, follow cleaning routes and safety protocols.
