Job summary

LAUKOA in Charleston, SC seeks a full-time Housekeeper to perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties in dormitories, ensuring rooms and common areas meet cleanliness and hygiene standards. This role supports a welcoming and safe environment for students and staff through consistent housekeeping services.

Part-time staff assist during peak turnover periods and daily operations as needed. Full-time hours are 07:30–16:30; emergency turnovers may alter hours as scheduled by the manager.

Qualifications

• 6 months minimum housekeeping or custodial experience in dormitory/hotel/institutional setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms for incoming students.
• Clean rooms after departure of students.
• Clean and disinfect dormitory rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Change bed linens, restock toiletries, and empty trash bins.
• Make beds in occupied rooms if able.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces per schedule.
• Notify dorm clerks/supervisors of maintenance issues or supply needs.
• Maintain supply carts and follow cleaning routes; adhere to safety protocols.
• Do not move students’ personal items.
