Job summary

Scenthound is seeking a Lead Groomer to oversee grooming and bathing teams, share expert knowledge, and train new groomers. You will lead by example, set standards, and ensure quality grooming while maintaining a positive, safe work environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and the ability to assess team needs, foster learning, and keep operations on schedule in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year grooming experience or graduation from grooming school.
• Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and tools of the trade.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Groom to Scenthound standards while leading grooming and bathing teams.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior groomers and bathers.
• Create an environment conducive to learning and teamwork.
• Teach new groomers Scenthound standards and ongoing coaching.
• Identify when help is needed to keep the schedule on track.
• Ensure dog and team member safety at all times.
• Maintain sanitary and cleaning practices per Scenthound guidelines.
