Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Administration & Operations Engineer within the Force Protection Division to design, implement, and sustain the Rock Island Arsenal OTA prototype network. You will lead integration of DoD, government, and vendor technologies into a secure, scalable network that supports sensors, C2 apps, and cybersecurity appliances.

You will develop plans, configure assets, test deployments, and document architectures while ensuring RMF compliance and DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, configuring, and administering DoD/network infrastructures.
• Experience supporting mission-critical networks and system integration life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain the prototype's network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, servers).
• Lead integration of multiple commercial, Government, and vendor technologies into a secure, interoperable network.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance across lab, staging and operational environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support demonstrations, assessments, and field deployments.
• Maintain secure configurations aligning with DoD cybersecurity requirements (STIGs, RMF).
• Develop diagrams, implementation plans, baselines, and documentation for deployment and lifecycle management.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to ensure end-to-end communications reliability.
