Job summary

Cubic Defense is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to lead the architecture, integration, and sustainment of enterprise DoD networks and Cross Domain Solutions across multiple environments. You will influence technical direction, oversee accreditation, and drive modernization to ensure secure, mission-ready communications.

Ideal candidates bring 8–12+ years in network engineering, strong leadership, and expertise in RMF, STIGs, and CDS accreditation processes to support critical defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline.
• 8–12+ years of progressively responsible experience in network engineering or mission network operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, engineering, integration, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise LAN/WAN and mission networks.
• Serve as the principal technical authority for network engineering and CDS implementations.
• Develop and maintain network architecture strategies, standards, roadmaps, and modernization plans.
• Lead design, integration, testing, accreditation, deployment, and transition-to-operations of CDS capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with RMF, STIGs, RTB 2.0, NCDSMO policies, and DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Mentor engineers and support workforce development.
