Job summary

Entergy seeks a Lead Distribution Lighting Designer to oversee external contract designers, ensuring build‑ready designs meet standards and schedule targets. You will allocate work, review packages, and guide contractors to minimize RFIs and field rework.

The role requires aBachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2–3 years in utilities, and strong leadership. You will interact with engineers and project teams to align lighting design with construction needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience managing/leading capital and/or O&M projects.
• Knowledge of utility electric system design and operations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑project manage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to explain technical details to non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner of lighting design work performed by external contract designers and coordinate deliverables with project teams.
• Review and approve contractor lighting design packages to ensure compliance and reduce RFIs, change orders, and field rework.
• Monitor contractor performance against cycle time, quality, and backlog; adjust allocations to meet demand.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical clarification to designers and escalate issues; collaborate with engineers to resolve standards interpretations.
• Support capacity planning and risk management by coordinating with Design Oversight Manager and Chief Engineer.
