Job summary

Eversource Energy in Boston, MA is seeking a Lead Engineer to join its Distribution Engineering Team. The role focuses on development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the distribution system to meet reliability and environmental goals.

The position requires 8–10 years of electrical utility experience, leadership responsibilities, and a hybrid office schedule with travel to MA/CT/NH as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 8–10 years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.
• supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, and develops engineers; approves time and reviews work for quality.
• Oversees all types of distribution systems within the local territory the lead is assigned to.
• Development of Life Cycle Plan activities over multi-year horizon and for ongoing projects.
• Ensures design and specification of additions to the transmission and distribution systems are completed accurately and on time.
• Provides technical support and direction to operating areas during normal and emergency situations.
