Job summary

Flory Line Construction, LLC is seeking an Assistant Superintendent, Distribution to lead utility construction projects in our field operations. You will oversee safety, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating crews, subcontractors, and customers.

This role requires extensive frontline leadership, strong communication, and the ability to travel to job sites and yards as needed; you will mentor General Foremen and Foremen and report to senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in distribution/transmission or a related utility field.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets are met.
• Enforce all safety protocols; conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections.
• Supervise and coordinate crews and subcontractors, providing hands-on guidance, support, and training.
• Read and interpret project plans; provide high-level estimates as needed.
• Monitor project work to maintain company and industry quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, engineers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and issues; report regularly to senior management.
• Identify potential project challenges and implement timely solutions.
• Conduct weekly site visits to each yard and crew location.
• Support the growth and development of General Foremen (GF) and Foremen.
• Interact professionally with internal teams, external vendors and customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
