Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle seeks an experienced engineer to lead the design and implementation of a distributed storage service at cloud scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of a distributed storage service that operates at cloud scale.
• Develop distributed system services in Java and low-level systems code that interfaces with hardware.
• Bring brand new systems to production use and solve challenging computer science problems.
• Participate in mentorship and career growth within the team.
