Job summary

Anderson County Distilling Company, home of Larrikin Bourbon and Koala Bare Spirits, invites a Lead Distiller to join a compact, high-energy production team in Lawrenceburg, KY. You will lead distillation operations, drive product innovation, and ensure safety and quality across the production line.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on leadership experience in a distillery, a track record of managing end-to-end processes, and a passion for craft spirits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading distillation operations and managing a distillation team.
• Proven ability to oversee end-to-end distillation processes from raw materials to finished spirits.
• Experience with distillery compliance and reporting software (Ekos, Distillx5).
• Willingness to train and mentor staff in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, safety, maintenance and efficiency of distilling equipment.
• Manage all aspects of distillation operations from raw materials to finished products.
• Create small-batch blends meeting Larrikin standards.
• Innovate new product lines and processes for the brand.
• Collaborate with Production Team Leads to optimize safety and efficiency in production, bottling and warehousing.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations through coordination with compliance staff.
• Provide hands-on leadership, training, and management to the Distillation Team.
• Represent Larrikin Bourbon and Koala Bare brands on-site and externally.

Job description

Anderson County Distilling Company, the home of Larrikin Bourbon and Koala Bare Spirits, is searching for a Lead Distiller to join our small but mighty team. Located in Lawrenceburg, KY (next to Wild Turkey), we are an award-winning, rapidly growing craft distillery with multistate and international distribution. The successful candidate will embody the Larrikin spirit, have solid distillation experience, and be excited to be part of building the Larrikin American Dream.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing the design, installation, safety, maintenance, and efficiency of distilling equipment, including three stills, agitation, blending and fermentation tanks, and associated equipment.
• Managing all aspects of distillation operations, from raw materials to finished products.
• Creating small-batch blends that meet the Larrikin standard.
• Innovating new product lines as only a Larrikin can.
• Partnering with the Production Team Leads to ensure safety while maximizing efficiency in production, bottling, and warehousing.
• Working with the compliance coordinators to meet federal and state requirements.
• Providing hands-on leadership, training, and management to the Distillation Team.
• Proudly representing the Larrikin Bourbon and Koala Bare brands both on-site and beyond.

Job Requirements:

• Team-oriented personality with a strong sense of service, initiative, positive energy, and creative curiosity.
• Demonstrated success as a head distiller or as an assistant distiller with management responsibilities.
• Experience managing end-to-end distillation operations from raw materials through finished spirits, including small-batch blending and product innovation.
• Experience using distillery compliance and reporting software such as Ekos or Distillx5.
• Experience providing hands-on leadership, training, and management to a distillation or production team.
• Forklift operation experience in a production or warehousing environment.
• Passion for craft distillation and a desire to innovate.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
