Lead, Dispatch

Leads are the subject matter experts and will be responsible for assisting leadership with oversight of the team. This individual will provide feedback, training, and guidance to ensure staff follows department protocols. The Lead will handle escalated calls from patients or insurance companies that staff cannot resolve. They will work closely with supervisors and leadership to develop process improvements. The role involves understanding the entire front-end process to ensure successful service for our patients. Dispatchers route all orders for regional deliveries and coordinate schedules with operations staff, aiming for timely deliveries as per leadership’s goals. They utilize IT systems to document communications and improve staff productivity by assigning appropriate delivery loads.

Job Duties
  • Mentor and oversee team members.
  • Evaluate business operations and suggest improvements.
  • Identify technical solutions to enhance performance.
  • Provide cross-team mentorship and share specialized knowledge.
  • Streamline processes through documentation and techniques.
  • Identify team strengths and report findings.
  • Respond to coaching inquiries via various communication channels.
  • Resolve escalations by collaborating with multiple partners.
  • Train new employees and assist with problem-solving over calls.
  • Manage daily tickets, create routes, and ensure completion.
  • Maintain knowledge of HME products and regulations.
  • Coordinate deliveries, address order issues, and optimize routes.
  • Make outbound calls for scheduling and routing with customer care focus.
  • Partner with teams to ensure delivery accuracy and resolve issues.
  • Verify and communicate delivery details.
  • Contribute to regional goals like productivity and cost reduction.
  • Track orders and follow up for timely delivery.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Document patient communications to meet compliance standards.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control practices.
  • Develop best practices for routing, dispatching, and handling emergencies.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Valid driver’s license
