Job summary

Cal Poly is hiring a Lead Access Specialist in the Disability Resource Center to evaluate student needs, advise on accommodations, and help develop campus-wide accessibility solutions. You will coordinate with faculty, staff, and community partners to ensure appropriate services and inclusive support for students with disabilities.

The role requires a background in counseling or related fields, with emphasis on legal knowledge and sensitive collaboration across diverse groups.

Qualifications

• Proven counseling experience in disability management and accommodations assessment.
• Experience using tact and persuasiveness to work with students with varied disabilities.
• Sensitivity to diversity and ability to work with a diverse campus community.
• Experience interpreting medical/psychological assessments to determine accommodations.
• Ability to analyze program processes and resolve complex problems.
• Thorough knowledge of disability-related laws (ADA, 504, CSU policies).
