Job summary

EP!C in Peoria, IL, is seeking a Director of Therapeutic Residential Services to lead group homes serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of staff, compliance, and program quality.

You will drive person-centered services, collaborate with families and clinical teams, and oversee multi-site operations to ensure dignity, safety, and meaningful outcomes for those served.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in residential services, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, public administration, or related field is required; master's preferred.
• QIDP experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across therapeutic group homes to ensure safe, person-centered services.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois CILA regulations, Medicaid Waiver requirements, and other standards; monitor quality measures and corrective actions.
• Recruit, coach, supervise, and develop residential leadership and direct-care teams; manage orientation, training, credentialing and staffing coverage.
• Oversee person-centered services by implementing individual service plans and behavior support plans to promote independence and community integration.
• Manage day-to-day operations across multiple sites including budgeting, on-call coverage, and administrative processes.
• Build collaborative relationships with individuals served, families, clinical teams, regulators and stakeholders to improve service delivery.
