Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. seeks Direct Support professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the community. You will provide supervision, support, and documentation to help people live valued lives, coordinating with the Residential Program Director and teams.

The role emphasizes health and safety, independence, and compliant program delivery, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, appointments, and property maintenance within regulated guidelines.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background and drug screening required.
• Valid driver's license with endorsements and 3+ years driving experience.
• Basic computer skills required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent if required by work location.
• Minimum one year of experience working in the human service field if required by work location.

Responsibilities

• Assists Residential Program Director in providing supervision to meet the needs and goals of the individuals according to their plans.
• Ensures each individual’s training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Maintains health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Provides a positive environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Assists with scheduling staff, doctors’ appointments, vehicle maintenance and grocery shopping as assigned.
• Monitors ongoing compliance with agency directives, licensing standards and policies.
• Ensures homes, outdoors areas and vehicles are well maintained and organized.
• Performs all other duties as assigned SR97A11.
