Merakey is seeking a Lead Direct Care Professional in California to support individuals with disabilities in residential and community settings. You will teach, coach, model, and accompany individuals to activities while promoting dignity and person-centered care.
The role requires a High School diploma or GED, an RBT or license (or eligibility within 60 days), and 6 months of IDD/MH population experience. Compensation is $29–$31 per hour with a $2/hour raise after RBT certification.

Lead Direct Support Professional
Position Summary
The Lead Direct Care Professional (DSP) is responsible for supporting individuals through teaching, coaching, modeling, and accompanying individuals with disabilities so that they are involved in family, neighborhood, civic, cultural and religious activities and events. In a variety of settings, the DSP will work with individuals with varying degrees of mental health diagnoses and abilities. DSP upholds dignity and respect of individual(s) served by promoting person-centered care while documenting and assisting activities of daily living in a safe and sanitary environment.
Earn $29 - $31 per hour (rate increases $2 per hour once you have received your RBT – Registered Behavioral Technician certification).
