Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in Sheridan, CA. DSPs provide direct support to individuals with developmental and behavioral health needs, focusing on personal care, communication, and social skills development.

We offer professional development and a pathway to RBT certification with a pay increase from $26 to $28 per hour upon certification. This role emphasizes compassionate care within Merakey's comprehensive services and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license if required.
• Experience with IDD/MH population preferred or have related experience.

Certification-Registered Behavior Technician or licensed psychiatric technician; or become a registered behavior technician within twelve months of initial employment.

• 6 months experience working with IDD/MH population or equivalent

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Completes PPD testing and Physical Examination upon hire and minimally every 2 years thereafter, if required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
• Ability to model, teach, and encourage socially-acceptable behaviors as needed

Compensation

• Earn $26.00/hour.

Note: We provide professional development training, support, and resources to help you obtain your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Upon certification, you’ll receive a $2/hour pay increase = $28.00/hour.
