Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our programs in Sheridan, CA. DSPs assist and train individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting health, safety, dignity, and contentment through personal care, communication, and social skills support.

The role starts at $26.00 per hour, with a $2/hour increase to $28.00 upon obtaining RBT certification within 12 months. We offer professional development, benefits, and opportunities to grow within a values-driven nonprofit

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services.

Certification Requirements

Merakey will provide access to the necessary training and support to help employees meet these requirements. These must be completed within 1 year of hire:

• DSP 1 and DSP 2 Certification - Required within 12 months of hire.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification - Required within 12 months of hire.
